What measures does OIO take to ensure safe production

Although the outbreak of the novel coronavirus casts a gloom over the beginning of 2020, spring is when life’s alive in everything. As trying efforts to bring business back to the normal, OIO doesn’t let its guard of epidemic prevention down.

In a cautious and positive manner, OIO began to carry forward work resumption and production restoration in batches since Feb. 15. So far, OIO’s operation has been completely recovered.

Work in the safest way and with most sufficient preventive measures.

The followings are what OIO has done and is doing to ensure safe resumption and production:

1.PICKING UP EMPLOYEES AND TAKING THEM BACK TO THE FACILITIES WITH SPECIALLY ARRANGED VEHICLES

To make it convenient for the employees from other provinces to return to work, OIO sent vehicles to Henan Province on Feb. 24 to take its employees back company, where is as warm as their second “home”.

They were deeply touched by the thoughtful protection materials and services offered by the company from the moment they left home, including the face masks they wore all the way, regular body temperature measurements and disinfections, say the employees who have come back to the company.

2.IMPLEMENTING STRICT STANDARDS FOR WORK RESUMPTION

Only the employees who meet the requirements for work resumption, for example those who provided relevant certificates or the negative result reports of nucleic acid test, could return to their posts. Those who failed to fulfill the requirements would be placed under medical observation.

3.SIGNING A LETTER OF COMMITMENT

Each employee should read and learn by heart the Letter of Commitment and sign it before returning to work. The employees will be allowed to enter the factory to work the next day after signing the letter.

4.BRACING FOR ENTERING THE FACTORY

The following measures must be taken before qualified employees entering factory:

1. Walking through the disinfection passage set up with temporary tents for whole body disinfection;

2. Measuring body temperature and the readings will be recorded by designated personnel;

3. Disinfecting hands;

4. Getting the new face masks for the very day.

“Garbage containers for used face masks” have been put at the entrance. Used face masks are specially disposed as medical wastes.

5.DAILY DISINFECTION IN PUBLIC SPACES

1.Disinfect the foyers, passageways, meeting rooms, elevators, stairs, canteens, toilets and other public spaces (especially the handles and button areas) with sprayers every day and make records;

2.Use the respective cleaning tools of each space and avoid mixing up.

6.WASH HANDS FREQUENTLY AND CORRECTLY

To prevent infectious diseases, one of the simplest while most effective ways is washing hands. The risk of infecting the novel coronavirus will be greatly lowered by doing so. The posters of “7 steps of hand washing” are seen at every washbasin in OIO’s facilities.

Although it’s getting warmer and warmer, the tap water is still cold. OIO therefore installs water heaters for all the taps in toilets, where hand dryers are equipped and hand creams are provided, too. The employees are greatly moved by the considerate care.

7.REGULAR BODY TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

Body temperature measurements are carried out twice a day at each department and the readings are recorded by designated personnel. A new face mask will be offered to the employees after each measurement.

8.DINING AT THE CANTEEN

1. To reduce personnel contacts, the previous buffet was replaced by boxed meal; hand washing is a must before dining;

2. A queuing interval of 1.5 meters should be kept when taking meals. A table is shared by two diners who sit towards the same direction and avoid talking with each other;

3. The face mask should be worn all the time except for dining time;

4. Employees of various departments take meals according to the timetable worked out by their own department. Dining in batches at different period helps to avoid mass gathering;

5. The employees are required to use their own dinnerware and the public spaces are disinfected every day.

To improve employees’ immunity, OIO offers afternoon tea for employees. The fruits and pastries are replenished from time to time by designated personnel.

9.SAFE MANUFACTURE AND SAFE DELIVERY

The regular production order and pace of each workshop are gradually recovered. The production-line operators wearing face masks are working hard to make sure the requirements of clients be fulfilled. How meticulous they are! Give them a thumb-up!

10.PROPAGANDA OF EPIDEMIC PREVENTION KNOWLEDGE

To make sure the anti-epidemic measures are known and learned by each employee, OIO carries out coronavirus knowledge popularization. Relevant trainings have been offered to help employees reassure their fear while attaching importance to addressing COVID-19 risk.

Striking popularization materials are put at each public space and epidemic prevention videos are broadcasted in turns to remind everyone of paying attention to personal protection.

On Feb. 20, twenty were selected from the employees who have already returned to work to participate in an epidemic prevention knowledge examination organized by Xitang Labor Union.

The combat against coronavirus continues. Currently, we should truly implement all the necessary measures and tighten the string of safety all the time. Let’s wait for the blooming of spring flowers, the recovery of economy and the markets.
